Moving from raw to wet & kibble

Morning all,

Dpup is currently raw food & likes to work for for his food, this consists of me wrapping his food in bits of material and putting it in a tub for him to get it out, but it's not very nice so I'm thinking of switching him to wet & kibble.

Has anyone done this and do you have any recommendations, I've been on all about dog food but I don't find it the easiest website tbh. He's also a fussy little bugger, I've tried orjen, acana and wolfworthy, he's not keen hence I want to try him on wet food too.

Does anyone have any tips on raw food feeding enrichment?

If he has been on raw he is used to high protein food. Speak to Millies Wolfheart. They have high protein wet and kibble food that will be easier for your dog to change over to.

Is your dog a working breed. There are plenty of good quality high protein kibble on the market. Mine didn't like wolf worthy either. I always give my dogs kibble but also give sardines tinned in oil for omega 3 also.

If you’re wanting to try wet food, I cannot recommend Pure pet food enough. We have transitioned our labrador puppy onto it, and he’s thriving. Dandruff has disappeared, and his coat is so beautiful and glossy.

It’s basically just chicken and vegetables, air dried to dehydrate. You then add water to rehydrate it. It’s Mande in a human grade food factory in Yorkshire, and they work out your dogs allowance, and send you 4kg bags by subscription.

No, he's a yorkie x poodle. He's very energetic but not a working dog. I've tried him with acana & orjen which are high meat content but he wasn't keen. He will not touch any kind of fish either! Fussy bugger.

derbee thanks for that, I'll check them out.

They are eye wateringly expensive but Fresco is really good.
Akela is really good and a little cheaper, as is natures menu (the country hunter one)
I have fed forthglade before too and naturediet.

bigwolflittlewolf oh my goodness! I can't believe how expensive that food is. 100% out of my budget!

Our previously raw fed dog is now on Forthglade and likes it. Tbf I think he'd like anything.
