Anyone used one?

I have a chavachon with a very curly coat, doing ok with wire brush on the back but he is getting really bad tangled on his belly and especially in the armpits where the hair is very fine but also a complete dirt magnet.

I tried mine on the dog!😳😄 It was okay. I’ve just bought another brush from Pets at Home. It’s a pin head paddle brush. It’s the first time he has really enjoyed being brushed. It’s really gentle on his skin. I use the paddle brush then a metal comb. If I find knots, I use my fingers to gently prise them apart, apply Mane ‘n Tail detangler spray and comb gently through the fur with a matt breaker then a metal comb. Sometimes I cut them out if I think ddog is getting fed up, as long as I can get a comb between the matt and his skin.

Off to look up main and tail spray.

What Matt detangler do you use?

I’ve got this one:
www.amazon.co.uk/Soft-Protection-Salon-Grooming-Matting/dp/B07YTZKF5W/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=rosewood+de-matting+comb&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1612879478&sr=8-6

I don’t know about you, but I noticed our dog gets a lot more matted if I let his fur air dry. I now clean him using our Mud Daddy, wrap him in his Ruff & Tumble coat and use my hair dryer on his legs. It’s cut grooming time down massively.
