Looking for some advice please, I have a 15 month staffie who seems to have gone off her food a bit. Currently she is on both wet and dry which I'd like to keep her on but does anyone have any recommendations for a different food to try. We use pedigree wet pouches and wagg dry at the moment. I considered using tails or the likes but not sure how good they actually are. Do not have freezer space to feed raw and no space for another freezer either to make it possible. I've looked through a couple threads and know there are food comparison sites but then there's comments saying they're not all that great so I'm just getting more confused. Any advice would be appreciated.

www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk is a brilliant website.

The people who say it’s not, and the foods are judged incorrectly are generally people who disagree with grain free feeding.

We’ve only had bad experiences with Tails (a few foster dogs who have arrived with Tails, and hate it) and the Tails food all looks the same, so it is bollocks that it’s tailored.

Based on the comparison site, we feed our Labrador a 50/50 mix of Eden Holistic kibble, and Pure Pet Food (often referred to as “raw without the thaw”)

The website is a great place to start, and decide what you like the sound of

If she’s doing well on the food you’re current giving her but as just gone off it a bit you could try mixing a little bit of something tasty in to tempt her. Tinned sardines always works, things like that.
Surprisingly what people think of as “ cheap” tinned Chappie goes down a bomb & is terrific for any diarrhoea problems, I’ve found anyway.
None of mine like Pedigree, never have done.
Over the years I’ve tried most of the expensive foods but now mine thrive better on a basic working dog food( no VAT) for my terriers while my one little Yorkie, who has IBD, does best on tinned Chappie mixed with a little breed specific kibble & a tiny amount of what I’m having. Except for chicken which sets off the IBD with a vengeance

Going to endorse the Allaboutdogfood website and advice above....

Following their recommendations, Ive just changed to Orijin and IT IS DELICIOUS - especially the fishy one! Yes I've munched it as well as my dog and it is so good I'm using it as training treats as well as food. And shocked that it costs no more than my low quality one - Lilly's kitchen.

I am doing a mix of raw and kibble. Done a lot of research in the last couple of weeks and it is RUBBISH that you can't mix.... lots highly endorse "toppers" for whatever kibble you're using - both to make your dog's life more enjoyable and his food healthier. So even if you just decide to buy some raw completes- or add bits and bobs from your own larder, that's great. General advice is not more than 15% if it's not "balanced" ... and to average that out over days rather than being worried about each meal

And previously if he wasn't that keen,, sardines always go down a treat in this household - or a wee bit of raw mince, chicken or cheese added in.

And I hadn't realised until I started researching how most kibble is made - at very high temperatures, damaging a lot of the nutritional content, so definitely worth getting one that is made differently.
