Maybe this links into my stinky post from the weekend but I'm not sure how long to leave it before a vet visit as we've been straight there in the past despite vet saying he was likely fine and to wait.
As I type he's leaping up at the stair gate barking at the cat but the rest of the day has looked sorry for himself and refused breakfast but ate scrambled egg. Refused lunch but ate a different flavour and when I warmed it. He's just a bit "off" but was ok yesterday. After treats more than real food but who doesn't prefer treats? He's 9 months and usually up and about more DH walked him at lunch and said he was fine but he didn't want to walk for me until we saw his puppy "friend" on the street at which point he jumped around and wanted to play. Any thoughts?

What do you feed normally?

If kibble then I am not surprised he fancied scramble egg instead and then a change in flavour. Kibble is very dull for a lot of dogs and if yours isn't food motivated then you need something smellier.

Mine really didn't want breakfast even wet food but he will always eat cooked chicken so that's what we give him the morning and wet food at dinner. The reason we still feed breakfast is that he spends all day at daycare and needs food.

As for walking are you doing more training than DH? Do you go a different way? Let him sniff? Off lead or not?

Of course he went back and ate the breakfast 10 minutes after I wrote this snd has just had a spurt of energy. Maybe he had blue Monday?? Maybe he was scamming me for eggs??

Mine got very fussy at that age. You really do need to be firm with them and not use human food to get them to eat!

Like Bitey said, what are you feeding? KIbble is a very boring diet for dogs - mine won't eat it on it's own (unless scattered in the grass as part of a sniffing game) so we mix with wet and vary the flavours of both.

He eats butternut box which is a fresh but not raw food and he's always wolfed that down mixed with Lily's kitchen. Maybe he is trying it on. Cheeky pupper

Ours is on a mostly kibble diet but I agree with other posters that it can be a bit dull. We sometimes mix in a bit of chopped carrot for flavour and give dried salmon skins for snacks (they stink but are healthy option and our dog loves them.)
