3 year old lurcher (neutered) and fully house trained to the point of having a bladder of steel has twice today peed on my bed. Just come upstairs to find the second one. Didn’t see it happen and was home all day.

Obviously will be calling the vets in the morning and am hoping it’s something that can be solved with some anti biotics but am concerned that it has been in the exact same place on the bed both times 😩 worried it might be behavioural although no idea what might have triggered it.

Just wondering whilst I lay here on a bed with no covers if anyone has had this and found it’s been easily resolved? Fortunately I’m furloughed at the minute so will be giving him very frequent toilet breaks whilst we figure out what’s going on (he rarely asks to go out and usually just owes on his walks although he did wake me up in the middle of the night a couple of days ago to go out which is unheard of)

I'd do as you are - get a vet check asap. Absolutely the right reaction.

I'd also close that room off for now and watch for signs he needs a wee. Get him outside regularly and often.

If it's behavioural, it's brand new. Preventing him being able to repeat it will help prevent it becoming habit.

(Assuming the vet check is all clear, the cold weather may just be putting him off going out Smile)

Thanks, good idea about shutting off the room. It’s his favourite place to lay but I’ve kept him downstairs with me today and put him out a bit more regularly. He loathes going out in the cold so he’s not amused!

Not much joy getting a urine sample for the vet today as he’s such a skittish thing the second you go near him with a container he panics. Even in normal times I can’t get a poo bag out before he’s done 🙄
