Fish oil supplements for older dog and dog food suppliers ?

Hi . My boy is getting old and think his joints are getting stiff.

Does anyone use fish oils for their dogs ? Which ones ?

Also I think he is finding the dry food harder to eat ... can anyone recommend an online supplier for tinned or similar dog meat ? It seems a lot more expensive than dry so looking for best value supplier. His digestion is bomb proof luckily and no allergy issues .

Thanks

Hi i use Skippers pet products, their fish oils and fish treats are brilliant. All on sale at the moment, huge litre bottle of fish oil is £12. Free delivery, also worth trying their dried fish treats ie dried sole. My dogs jus5 loves the stuff, all natural products from uk.

Salmon oil, btw.

Our 12 year old is on yumove and it seems to be helping a bit

Have you tried pouring a small amount of boiling water over the dry kibble? This has helped our old girl, who was starting to struggle eating dry food. I leave for about 5 mins and then add some salmon oil (we use csj). Much easier for her to eat and she loves the salmon oil!

Another vote for Yumove, my boy has been on it for a couple of months now and I see a huge difference - it takes a few weeks to take effect.
I use Vet Uk for food; but also Nature diet for wet food - the lamb and the Salmon grain free are favourites but they also do one for seniors.

I have tried putting hot water on the dry food but he seems to dislike this more .
Have got the oil so for the recommendations.

He seems to be eating better again now so maybe he just wasn’t hungry for a bit . Hopefully the oil will keep him sprightly for longer

I give my dogs sardines they love them. You can sometimes get the whole frozen ones in freezer section at certain supermarkets they are only cheap. Alternatively tinned sardines in oil. Plenty of vitamins in them. My dogs aren't old but they are good for them.
