Anyone have any recommendations? I'm fed up of my spaniel pulling

Actually just been reading up and not sure they are a good idea. I'll just go back to training I think

Personally, no harness does that job. Figure of 8 head lead, less than £10 on eBay. Its like a halter - no dog can pull if you have control over their head. Soft fabric, and doesn't hurt at all.

We have a Perfect Fit harnesses for our dog. We used the front ring with the top D ring when we were training him to stop pulling. Plus stopping when he pulled and using the 300 peck method. Took a lot of training and patience, but he is very good most of the time now.

I use a short slip lead that my gundog trainer recommended. He stopped pulling instantly and walks very nicely to heel with it on.

It is all about the leverage point. I used a cheap no pull harness for Amazon on my foster dog when he came to me (he was a very strong puller, so much so that he had pulled over his previous owner and injured them).

The key thing is for the loop to which the lead clips to be on their chest. This means that they cannot pull efficiently because they turn themselves slightly sideways. If he pulled hard I used to turn him right round.

I only needed to use it for about a month after which he cottoned on that pulling was no longer rewarding and usually walks nicely now in a normal harness.

Please can someone link to the type of thing they would recommend?
Any particular recommendations for an irish Setter?

I used to use a dogmatic for our previous dog, it was fantastic and I would highly recommend it.
We had tried many before but this was by far the best.

Canny Collar for me. My spaniel pulled like a train and this did the job. Her behaviour was impeccable everywhere else just pulling was a problem.

Equipment doesn't stop dogs pulling, training does.

I really rate the Perfect Fit harnesses - they're durable, strong, don't tighten or pinch when the dog pulls, and can be sized for just about every dog. www.dog-games-shop.co.uk/perfect-fit-fleece-dog-harness.html

I recommend Rabbitgoo no pull harness. It's about half the price of one's like perfect fit (about £22) and works well and gives comfortable fit. Has the clip at the front and one at top so I used a double ended lead.

I had it tried and tested on a highly anxious (think tried to flee in terror) 45kg dog.

Only training will stop your dog pulling. Please don't use anything that says it will because its probably aversive. Even the figure of 8 leads are not good. Dogs have sensitive snouts so pulling on this can damage nerves and tendons.
