Hi all,

As the title says really.
Tell me about yours.
Was it the best thing you ever did? Is yours friendly? High energy? Easy to train? Good with kids? Ruin your house? Etc etc anything you can think of saying/telling a potential new golden owner.

Thanks

To add - I’ve since found out about Rage Syndrome, which is a genetic condition that GR, among other breeds, can have. I think that was the problem with my girl.

It’s probably rare, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

If you want to know about breeders then I would contact the breed club for advice.

I know, bless her.

We stuck with her and loved her anyway though. She did ok.

Bear in mind all GR reputable breeders are getting over 300 applications per litter of puppies and even to get put on waiting lists. A lot are not breeding at all this year. Beware of puppy farms, a lot are going that way in desperation.

Thanks yes I have seen how difficult it is to even get on good breeders waiting list. We happy to wait as long as it takes because we don't want to risk going to a puppy farm. Thanks again

My family have owned a couple of golden retrievers - one was an absolute loon who NEVER did as he was told despite extensive training.

Another one was an absolute doll but we rehomed him as a former show dog and had to teach him how to play.

Like people, I guess they all have their own personalities.
