Puppy is sleeping till 6 normally (10 weeks) but today he woke at 5. He is driving me nuts expecting to be fed but I don’t want him to think he gets food whenever he wakes up.. any tips!?

Ours doesn't get breakfast until he's been up 30 mins - an hour.
I didn't want to create an exact time for breakfast as our day can vary a lot and our getting up time can be anything from 5-7.
However I think when ours was a puppy he was fed at pretty much the same time every morning as their stomachs are small but they are growing fast.
If it's far to early from his normal breakfast time could you play with him/distract him a bit? If he is regularly getting up too early for breakfast does he need his food increased?
Ours is 2 and is now pretty much happy to wait

U have to think of him as a baby or even a toddler. It will take time. They are still little.

Girlintheframe has covered it really
We left ours in the crate when we first get up, had a cuppa etc then let them out for a wee then back in crate for a Biscuit, soon after taken for a walk them fed, just a matter of routine

Thanks all, I kept the lights low and did some work and he fell asleep on the floor. I fed him at 615 when he woke up again. Hopefully it’s just a one off!

Our puppy is 12 weeks and we feed 8am, 1pm and 6pm. We stretch it a week ends as we get up at 6am in the week but later on weekends so we feed his tea later on a friday and Sat in preparation.
