How long do the puppy blues last!

We got our pup last week and i am having massive regrets, we have been planning getting him for a long time and everyone said they would pitch in but I'm struggling in lockdown, we are in an area where you can't visit other household, so we are going to struggle to socialise him. He is great only 3 pees in the house so far but the more confident he's getting the more bitey and the kids don't want to go near him. He great most of the time but for an hour or so he's a wee terror! Please tell me this will get better when he's not confined to the garden!!

We got our puppy on Saturday, she will be 9 weeks this Saturday. She has just started coming into her own :-)
Toilet training is going excellent, she is currently sleeping in our bedroom in her dog bed and sleeps through the night.
Trying to get her used to a crate is another story! Any help would be much appreciated please.
I have been carrying her to school drop off and pick up, but this morning was raining and I put her in the crate for 20 mins. You would think I was murdering her :-(

Oh boy my puppy blues lasted a long time. I found it really difficult. Things did settle down and then we hit adolescence. He's 12 months old now and very much a part of the family. He's wonderful in many ways but the problem i have is that my love for him feels conditional. If we've had a bad walk (recall gone to shit or He's been heavy on the pulling or reactive) then that horrible blue feeling comes back and I have thoughts of wishing we'd never got him and wanting my old, easier life back. When we've had a good day then I adore him and can't imagine life without him. DH loves him unconditionally, nothing he does makes him think any less of him and I wish I could be like that.

Sarah75Lou is there a particular reason why you want to crate train? We didn't, we used a puppy pen with a bed, food bowl/water and toys. He was always happy in there. Eventually we got rid of the pen although and puppy proofed the kitchen.

@Sarah75Lou have you read Easy Peezy puppy squeezes? It talks about how to get them to like their crate.

It's weird how they're all so different. We've had no problems at night, he's slept in his crate in the kitchen from day one. I take him outside to the toilet at midnight, 3 and 6 and he doesn't wimper and goes straight to sleep.

We've almost mastered poos outside , and he can now hold his bladder and make outside without me having to pick him up and run to the door! However he does excited mini wees on the carpet.

What I'm struggling with is when his has his totally hyper episodes a couple of times a day and he bits my clothes and just won't let go! I have holes in several pieces of clothing now. Most of the time when he's chewing something he shouldn't be chewing (the tv cabinet drawer knobs mainly!) the distract with a toy he can chew thing works. But when he goes hyper he bites everything and everyone and nothing seems to distract him.
