What kind of dog is this?

We're looking to adopt a rescue dog, we've done this before and know it's not always straightforward. Anyway due to lockdown we can't visit any kennels or shelters as we would have done before so having to rely on websites to locate suitable dogs. I've seen this beautiful girl, she's a crossbreed and I was wondering what she might be? I think she's possibly part Labrador but not sure what else. I'm not great on dog breeds so what do you think?

Lab/sharpei/staff I think. There's definitely some sharpei in her face and around the eyes.

She's gorgeous but I imagine she's massive and very strong. But if she's well trained her strength shouldn't put you off. Lots of big dogs walk excellently on leads.

I think she looks Rottweiler x Labrador.

Some kind of mastiff /lab cross?

flibbertmygibbert · 05/07/2020 09:18

I can’t see any lab. Looks like a mix of mastiff/bull type breeds to me. That dog is pure muscle and absolutely beautiful.

TimeWastingButFun · 05/07/2020 09:18

Dogue/Lab cross?

GreyishDays · 05/07/2020 09:20

I wouldn’t want a dog that was stronger than me, especially a rescue. Just something to bear in mind.

CooperLooper · 05/07/2020 09:42

Staffrador (lab x staff cross)

Wolfiefan · 05/07/2020 09:45

I love MN! Someone recognised the dog and contacts the OP to help. Good luck OP.

Parkandride · 05/07/2020 09:47

She is beautiful! Such a sucker for a bull type

frustrationcentral · 08/07/2020 15:38

Did you find out which breeds OP?

patas · 08/07/2020 15:52

I'm not sure why they would try and deliberately make the dog look smaller?
It's a rescue, they should be matching the dogs to suitable homes.
There's such a massive frenzy for rescuing/buying dogs at the moment the rescue centre will have no problems rehoming a young good-looking dog like that.

Staffy-lab crosses look lovely, I wonder if they moult like labs though?
