Our puppy wakes up for a pee about 6.30 then settles back till we go down for breakfast about 8. Not interested in breakfast. Likes a game in the garden about 9.

Mine gets up with me at 6.15am as I need to take her out before work, on weekends she can happily snooze in bed until 8am. She does sleep allday as I have an indoor ring camera to spy on her! 😹

My dog is 6 and can sleep for England. So chilled out, he's probably gone at least 16 hours without wanting anything and we do offer! Lazy in puppyhood and maybe stubborn in old age 😂

Mine will happily snooze under the duvet until 1-2pm given the chance. Have to wake her up to take her out for a wee or she'd stay in there all morning! Shes 8 though, but shes a whippet so shes been like this since she was about 8 months old.Hmm

My dog just got up 20 minutes ago when my husband got back from shopping (11.45).

Mine will happily not get up until 1pm, even for a wee, unless he thinks there's something thrilling happening.

Suspect it's because he knows he doesn't get walked until late afternoon / early evening anyway

Nope. She shuffles about in the bed until she wakes me up, then bothers me until I get out of bed. Then she gets back in, says 'Ah, bed to myself.' and goes back to sleep for several hours whilst I drink strong black coffee with bleary eyes.

@HighOnStilts Your greyhound is VERY dignified.

God no. He literally will not move before 9 unless I physically shunt him off the bed so I can go to work 😂 he also goes back to bed first chance he can. He’d honestly absolutely stay in bed til like 11 if I’m having a good long lie in, without even looking to get up, even tho DH will offer to let him out when he gets up at 7.

I thank the lord everyday that my dog loves a lie in as much as me!
He will happily snooze on the bed until midday, even if I go downstairs earlier.

We have a basset hound who needs picking up in the morning just to go for a walk, not even two yet! But when outside loves a run, just definitely not a morning dog.

Ours is a terrible morning person! Up and bouncing about woofing and sprinting round the house like a whirlwind at 6.30am. He's a working type spaniel though and only a puppy so we sort of expected it. He does have a big nap mid morning though which is nice and will doze on my lap for half an hour after breakfast.
