Can anything stop my dog snoring??

I have a 10 year old dachshund who snores, a lot! Haven’t had her that long but she is in good heath and no problems. Obviously is not a short nosed breed so that isn’t a problem! She keeps me awake at night. Yes she sleeps upstairs in her crate but don’t want to leave her downstairs as she isn’t used to being on her own as always lived in a pack. Not enough room on landing for her crate either.

She will be going to the vet once CV has lifted so will ask vet when I go but there’s nothing visibly wrong with her, no sneezing or runny nose etc??

Can anyone help??

Watching with interest, our lab snores like a chainsaw starting and sleeps next to the bed. I have tried rolling him over which sometimes works .

It’s so annoying! In fact it’s more than that, I can’t sleep. Probably have to move her at night but prob will make her whine and wake dc....

Any vets about??

Could they be a bit overweight?

She was a little podgy but has lost weight since I have had her.

Mines in his ideal weight range.

Does she sleep on her back? This can cause snoring, or if they lie in other positions that cause restrictions in air movement. Being overweight is often a factor in snoring so getting her to a healthy weight may well help. It would be worth getting her vet checked if it persists, it can be just one of those things but it can sometimes have an underlying cause - weight, allergies, dental issues, nasal inflammation etc.

She doesn’t sleep on her back no, generally curled up?

She is top end of healthy when I weighed her when she came to me but has lost weight as she is much more slim line now.
