Wet food recommendations

2 year old Vizsla usually kibble fed, but he is not interested at all after a recent stay with dog sitter who have him other stuff
Looking at wet food but don't know where to start, obviously due to his size, premium pouches of caviar fed pheasant not happening.

I usually feed a mixture of Lukullus and Wolf of Wilderness wet food, which seems a good balance of price vs quality. Zooplus.co.uk sells them both

We have used Wainwrights wet trays and Forthglade wet trays with success. Forthglade actually make the Wainwrights stuff for Pets at Home, their own Forthglade stuff just has a slightly higher meat content I believe. They are based in Devon and do grain free options too.

Forthglade, Pets at Home own brand Wainwright’s, Naturediet. I feed it mixed with good quality kibble (for crunch, convenience and cost)

Fortglade, Millies Wolfheart, Akela, Aatu, Canagan are all very good.

Millies is the cheapest of them (but as high quality as the rest) - especially if you buy their 76 can deal.

We feed ours the Butchers grain free tripe loaf tins, rate highly on allaboutdogfood and ours loves it.

Lily's Kitchen here, he loves it. Crave is good too.

Waitrose own is our dog’s favourite and she’s tried loads of brands!
Also likes James well beloved pouches and Lily’s Kitchen.

I'd be quite grumpy with the dog sitter.

For tins we use Butchers, it is cheap and cheerful, gets good ratings.

Try some enrichment activities with his kibble, may pique his interest enough to get back to the usual food.
Lay one of the dog towels on the floor, sprinkle with kibble and roll up. Dog needs to unroll.

My dog has wet and dry mix and we use Applaws small cans / pouches / pate for the wet ( Millie’s dry) as it’s the only one the picky pooch will reliably eat every single time . It does work out quite expensive however the chicken breast tins really do look and smell good enough to eat and there are not many dog foods that you can say that about .
