Can anyone recommend a dry dog food - problems with diarrhea

I have a fussy springer spaniel who also has a bit of a delicate tummy. We have to be quite careful with treats and stuff like that and in the past when on dry food she’s had diarrhea.

She had been on Butternut Box which she loved to start with but a few months ago she started refusing point blank to eat it

Tried her with raw food - refused to eat it

Tried various wet food - won’t eat it

We’ve gone back to dry food - she loves it but we’re back to having some diarrhea with it. She’s currently on AVA - as so far it’s the least diarrhea-y

She’s been checked over by the vet and she’s fit and healthy

Thanks!

I have a springer also with similar problem and Hills Sensitive skin and stomach works a treat - and she loves it. The only time we have runny poos now is if she snaffles something strange

My dog is fed on Harrington’s salmon and potato grain free. He was fine as a younger dog we fed him leftover as well as kibble. Now he's older his stomach isn't as strong so feed on the above. No more loose stools and smaller poos.

Our retriever had lots of diarrhea as a puppy and then wouldn't be able to get rid of it without antibiotics. At one point the vet was considering keeping him on a low dose of metronizidol (sp?) for the rest of his life.

What turned things around for us was putting him on Burns dry food. He won't eat it plain but we mix it with a bit of white fish and he's ok. Then when he does get the occasional upset tummy, I keep a syringe of Diarsanyl in the cupboard. You can buy it from Amazon. Just one or two doses of that after he gets loose poos will give his stomach the kick start it needs to get back to normal.

We had serious diarrhoea problems with our recent rescue dog. She had already been put on Naturediet by the rescue and as she was very thin and losing weight we went to see our vet. She had a fortnights course of antibiotics and we were recommended Purina HA,

"PURINA VETERINARY DIETS HA is an appetising hypoallergenic dog food, which is not only a complete pet food but also the best choice for dogs suffering from food allergies & intolerances. A complete pet food with a low molecular weight hydrolyzed protein source for exceptionally high digestibility. Canine HA is also rich in medium chain triglycerides for easily absorbed energy, which helps dogs with compromised GI functions." It is very expensive but by the time the antibiotics were completed she had nice firm poo, so we intend to carry on with it.
