Mine has just come in from the garden screaming... I do mean screaming, thern ran round the room in a blind panic.
Up we all jumped in a panic.. had she somehow cut herself? had a fox got in and attacked her?

No. She had a nugget of poo stuck to her bum fur.Grin

(She is now sulking as we decided that as she was overdue a shower anyway we might as well do it now... I have a sulky and slightly soggy doggy who smells of baby powder dog shampoo....)

My 6 month old ddog will not enter the living room since we put the Xmas tree up yesterday. She will scream like its trying to murder her, my Xmas tree is 3ft tall! She's also a German Shepard 🙄

Yea proper wuss bag. Petrified of feathers the smaller the more terrifying. He in a small/medium miniature labradoodle that I didn't realise until he saw one could jump 2ft into the air of he crossed paths with a feather. Don't get me started on when he gets one stuck on him. Also hilarious when he meets a bird as he doesn't realise it has feathers until it flaps his wings then he runs away tail between legs.

He also get very confused when peeing. If we have been out and seen other male dogs pee he's ok but at night he he bends his back knees like a ballerina dip and lifts one leg slightly.

Proper tart but he's loved

@judgemeallyouwant I’m very jealous as I’ve always wanted a German Shepard, stunning and intelligent.

DDog 1 is terrified of flappy washing on the line, and gets a fit of the vapours if I shake out creases in a garment before pegging out, running up the drive, squealing.
Unfortunately, she sleeps in the laundry room where we hang washing if raining. Never was a dog so ill treated.. she creeps round to her basket, rolling her eyes reproachfully.
It took her about three weeks to dare to go through the chain fly curtain on the kitchen door in summer. She visibly takes a deep breath and runs through it. Every single time, although it hasn't hurt her in the 4 years we've had it..
On a bad day, she will be galumphing round with her daughter and accidentally collide with something. The shrieks of horror and obvious belief that we're all trying to kill her are worthy of a BAFTA.
Don't believe anyone that tells you that labs are stoic and not neurotic....

@FAQs I grew up with retired police dogs and that's when I fell in love with their loyalty and intelligence! I'm very lucky to have her

My bulldog is a drama queen. She was terrified of a rug and chair I brought into the living room and refused to enter the room for about a day, only capitulating when she realised she could skirt the edge of the room while eyeing it up and growling, then when she realised she could see out of the window by sitting on said chair, she was ok with it, as long as she didn't touch the rug while jumping up. I took the chair and rug out today in preparation for the Christmas tree. It seems she's now terrified of fresh air. 🙄

Another dog here that's frightened of flies - she spends a lot of time either outside or hiding upstairs in the summer.

She's also terrified of spiders. We had a, relatively, small spider living in the light fitting near the sofa a while ago. I'd tried numerous times to catch it but it only came out at night when the light was on so I sort of gave up in the end and left it there.

One evening dog and I were sitting on the sofa when the spider decided to augment its web and started climbing down the single thread it had already made.

Poor dog looked up with a horrified expression when the movement caught her eye, shot off the sofa, rushed upstairs and stayed there for the rest of the evening.

It took weeks and weeks for me to persuade her to sit with me on the sofa again in the evening. As soon as I turned on the light she'd disappear upstairs and stay there.

In the end I managed to dislodge the spider, which resulted in its death, I'm afraid. Somehow I eventually managed to convince the dog that the spider had gone and she gradually started spending her evening with me again.

Flies! Oh yes. In brave daylight moments he goes on Fly Patrol and stands, moaning at any fly that might have chosen to land on a window. His night-time version of Fly Patrol is to see one and then lie under my bed whimpering. His mother is similar, apparently. I used to have a JRT who I now realise was stoicism personified although it has to be said, he probably barked constantly for most of his 14 years of life. My beautiful lurcher almost never barks but my goodness, he's got a positively operatic range of dramatic moans and whimpers when confronted with nothing at all exciting.

Aww, this thread is lovely. All your divas, and not stoic dogs, adorable.
Mine are tough as old boots and scared of everything in equal measure. The best moment is one you have to picture, if you can.
I use an Ikea bag to put my laundry out. One especially windy day I'd taken the last item out to put on the line, the wind caught the now empty bag and it flew towards the house - just behind DBoyDog who freaked out at this huge blue bird flying towards it and ran into the house as if Satan himself was chasing him! The same day DGirlDog tried to jump on the bed and sunk like a sack of spuds as the duvet she'd landed on slipped off onto the floor. It was a funny day in Filthy house. For me at least.

Yet another bloody spider in the same light fitting this evening.

Not content with just building its web, it was up there wrapping a sodding fly up for its dinner.

Dog is now upstairs, and I suspect packing her bags prior to leaving home.

I don't like to chuck house spiders out but I'm afraid that one was dispatch to the garden pretty quickly along with it's disgusting meal; thankfully, it didn't notice me creeping up on it as it was a bit preoccupied.
