Good pet friendly weed killer

Can anyone recommend a good effective weed killer?
The garden is looking a mess with all the weeds.

Boiling water poured on the weeds, vinegar, salt. They'll all kill weeds but will kill other plants too.

Don't know if any commercially produced weed killers are pet friendly.

A while ago I was looking for something to fill in the gaps in my grass. Several of them claimed to be pet friendly but when you go on to read the instructions there are always part of the instructions that warns you about possible harm to a pets if they eat it, or to make sure it's completely dry and so on.

That to me isn't pet friendly. Be very careful to read the whole instruction part before you buy anything.

I gave up in the end with the grass. I just didn't want to take any chances with my dog.

I wouldn't use any garden poisons where a dog (or cat) might lick the residue, and that includes things like greenfly spray.
The safest way is to get down on your hands and knees and weed! For large areas you could cover them with black plastic or old carpet, weighed down with bricks or a few shovels of soil. Leave in situ for several months. You can also buy a sort of mini flamethrower (like a walking stick with a flaming end) to burn the weeds. Never used one, but seen them advertised.

Greenfly are easily killed by blasting them with water on the strongest spray on the hose pipe fitting.

I have roses and kill all the greenfly that way. I never use any sort of sprays and my roses have always been beautiful

Weedkiller will also kill bees and any other beneficial creatures so it really is best to avoid them.
