What drives your dog mad?

An ad came on the telly using We Will rock you by Queen. I started joining in the rhythm by tapping the sofa twice and clapping. DDog went bonkers, jumped on the sofa and essentially demanding I stop. I've tried it again since, with exactly the same response. She clearly hates Queen.

Is there anything you do your dog hates and will try and stop you from doing?

If any of us jump up and down our dog humps us! He clings on with his front legs too. Not sure if he loves it or hates it to be honest. But it drives him crazy.

Sirens send our dog garrity.

Sodding squirrels and pigeons. Our garden is full of them. He is too thick to realise that birds can fly and squirrels can climb and he can't do either.

One of our dogs hates us sitting on or even being near our barstools at the kitchen island. Consequently we haven't actually used them for the last 9 years.

Other dog has an issue with Hold My Hand by Jess Glynne and howls as soon as it comes on the radio

Feathers! She goes batshit when she sees one. And she tries to chase after birds.. in the sky 🙄🙄

Squirrels here too.
She’s 13, perfect recall, waits outside the bathroom when I’m in there, sits at husbands feet when he’s working at home, walks past cats, ducks, geese, pigeons, sheep without a backward glance.
Squirrels, the red mist descends.

Next doors dog.

No other dogs, just the one next door. They seem to have s mutual hatred for each other

Motorbikes, horses, the very annoying crows who fly and attack him

Cats or anything perceived to be cat-like: pigeons, sparrows, plant pot in an unexpected location, our other dog , her reflection. However my MIL is not a cat and is free to roam anywhere without issue.

A friends dog used to attack parked cars, perfectly calm and friendly dog, but stationary vehicles were to be dealt with severely.

That should say my MILs cat!! Not my actual MIL! She is free to roam (although probably shouldn’t be allowed among the general public)

Anything small and furry
Cats
Birds of any size flying
Anybody trying to hug me
When on his lead any large yellow / white dogs ( fine if he’s off lead)
When off lead huskies
He also dislikes the vacuum cleaner but he just walks away rather than going berserk .

Ring doorbell advert on the tv. No BiteyDog there isn't anyone at the door

The ice cream van. As soon as they hear the chimes, they both start howling.

Laundry. As soon as the washing comes out of the machine she goes nuts. Again when it comes in from the garden or goes in or out of the tumble dryer.

However she loves a newly mopped floor. She will sit and drool on the dry bit while I am mopping. I have to toe her out of the way and then she will spread herself out on the wet floor.

Running and screeching children very threatening apparently

Does anyone remember the song "hey ho", by the lumineers (I think!?). The hey-ing and ho-ing used to send one of my dearly departed pups around the bend. Also any music with a strong base. Otherwise I've had pretty chilled and easy going dogs, but whenever I hear that song or strong base I think of Winnie.

Using a garden hoe.

Spades and forks are acceptable. The garden hoe requires constant vigilence and barking.

Deer.
Me daring to even look at another dog let alone fuss it.
Cats or birds in the garden.
Our cats getting fed when he's not getting fed.
The cats getting any kind of attention whatsoever.

Flood siren, his own reflection - but only in the telly, anything passing him in the street if he's walking. (we are OK if he's in his buggy though (arthritis, tendonitis and a liver issue - lots of vet visits, he doesn't walk well and I can't drive). Anyone in the passage when he's in the garden, family members being in two different rooms causing him to patrol and keep an eye on us all incase we need protecting (aka: incase we eat something he doesn't see)

Pheasants. Literally sends our older dog batshit, and he loses all sense.
Squirrels to a slightly lesser degree.

The puppy seems to take severe umbrage to her reflection in anything......... growling and barking. She's not the brightest bulb in the box, love her.

Ha at pheasants!

This morning Battendog and I got to a T junction in the woods. I went one way and down the other lane were some pheasants. You could see the terrible conflict in his mind: come with me or go to the pheasants.

He dithered for ages before (presumably) deciding he'd found a way to do both. He pegged it to the pheasant, startled them, turned immediately on a dime and came running at full pelt back to me

Hot air balloons and drones send him crazy. He gets very angry that they've dared enter the sky near him. We live next to a hot air balloon take off site, so that's fun.
