Surely this is nonsense

I am almost sure nothing will come of this but ..... I was walking my 11 month old dog on the beach today playing with him off lead when I could see a large dog approaching ( running away from owner who was chasing and shouting on it to come back) my dog started towards him to play but I called him back before he started running and put him on lead. Other dog ran right up to him and was sniffing and bouncing around him at which point my dog joined in the fun and starting jumping and also barked ( he is very friendly and loves to play). Crazy owner reaches me and I was expecting an apology but instead starts shouting about my dog being dangerous, I quite calmly explained that my dog is on a lead and is in no way at fault or dangerous, cue bark from tail wagging pup. This seemed to light a touch paper she then flew off handle and accused me of having dangerous breed dog out of control and that she was going to report him to police to be impounded and it would be up to me to show papers to show he is not one (no papers). Would not usually worry me but she then followed me to car park and wrote down my reg and was obvious about it. Should I be at all worried or will police also think lady is crazy ?

Please don’t take this the wrong way. Can she get your address from your car reg and dog nap you r dog. Please be vigilant. She sounds crazy.

MrsCasares · 09/04/2019 11:11

Your dog is seriously cute.

Skihound · 09/04/2019 11:19

I assumed she was going to give to police

No, she can't get your address from your car reg unless she access to DVLA records, which is unlikely.

Squirrel26 · 09/04/2019 11:44

She sounds nuts. I wonder how many other ‘dangerous’ dogs she’s already reported to the police.

grumpyyetgorgeous · 09/04/2019 12:30

I'm laughing imagining the police turning up thinking they are about to sieze a dangerous dog then finding your little fur ball Grin he's a cutie!

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 09/04/2019 12:55

What a bloody loon. Was she so embarrassed at her out of control dog and so stupid that she transferred her sheer mortification on to you? Confused

SwimmingInTheDeepBlueSea · 09/04/2019 13:08

I started the thread worried you'd got some sweet staffie cross that could be classed as a banned breed..... Then I saw your photo and couldn't stop laughing at your "monster" of a dog. He's a cute little ball of fluff!

Also if she does go to the police they will hopefully give her a bollocking for wasting police time and for her allowing her dog to be out of control, whilst yours was on a lead!

Hoppinggreen · 09/04/2019 13:10

Looks lethal(y cute)

Hoppinggreen · 09/04/2019 13:12

Just showed the teenager
She’s laughing !

Greyhound22 · 09/04/2019 13:12

Bahahahahahahaha

I thought you had a pitbull

He looks terrifying

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 09/04/2019 13:31

He might be terrifying... If you were a tennis ball.

Conspiracy to commit murder of squeaky toys perhaps?

Dismembering teddies... Always the sign of a psychopath in the making Wink

Skihound · 09/04/2019 13:36

He is guilty of all of the above - no visit so assuming police have better things to do if she has reported it

Hidingtonothing · 09/04/2019 13:43

Agree your dog's pic is the best punchline ever, and that he's seriously cute Smile I think you'll have to chalk this one up to pure batshittery OP, hope your mind is at rest you have nothing to worry about.

pigsDOfly · 09/04/2019 13:43

Good grief. That is some fierce looking dog.

These sort of things can be really unsettling. But she just sounds a bit odd tbh.

I would just put it down to experience and make sure you do all you can to avoid her if you come across her in future.

iforgotwhatiwasgoingtosay · 09/04/2019 14:41

Im normally a lurker but I had to log in today just to HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH at your dog being a dangerous dog, he looks terrifying(ly cute as hell)!

pigsDOfly · 09/04/2019 14:41

Sorry, should have added everything she said is nonsense. And your dog is gorgeous.

QuestionableMouse · 09/04/2019 14:43

Sorry but he looks extremely dangerous to me. You'd better let me take him for your own protection.

Woman is batshit crazy. I wouldn't worry.

IrianOfW · 09/04/2019 14:50

Ha! What a vicious looking mutt!

My parents dog was reported to the police for having attacked a cyclist on their road. In truth they had a huge garden and they couldn't have seen if he has slipped out on to road. However he was a small jack russell and was friendly. Police came to visit them after a 'report about a dangerous out of control dog' only to meet my parents dog nearly wagging himself in half with joy at meeting a stranger.

justilou1 · 09/04/2019 14:52

I’ll bet this woman is what the cops around here (I’m in Australia) call a “Frequent Flyer.” Bet they know who it is when they see her number on the caller ID and think “Oh god, What now?!?!” Your doggo is quite a bit adorable. Mine looks like a bewilderbeast, and would actually be terrified of him. Meanwhile, don’t you just wish we could muzzle up some of the owners sometimes?
