Dogs trust spaying for donation

Around 9 years ago we had our dog spayed at our local vets4pets. They only took a donation of around £30 as we were on housing benefit at the time.

We need to get our dog spayed now (she's 1 and has had a few seasons). Does anybody know if the dogs trust/vets for pets still run this or would it be full price now?

It is still running however only for certain breeds and for people in receipt of certain benefits.

In the nicest possible way, surely this is something you should have budgeted for though. Charity funding is very limited and should be reserved for people who desperately need it IMO.

How about the PDSA, I understand they neuter but ask for a donation?

There's only limited areas that cover the low-cost neutering scheme according to the Dogs Trust website, there's a hotline you can call to see if you qualify

And there are other charities that can help with neutering, especially if your dog is a bull breed. The Mayhew in North London will neuter certain bull breeds for free.

I second what Maneandfeathers said. I don’t know your situation so apologies if I’ve got this wrong but as someone with a puppy myself I see it as all part and parcel of choosing to have a pet.

That being said, I’m glad you’re neutering and I hope you find a solution.

@Maneandfeathers in the nicest way possible you know nothing of my situation or how much I might need this, or how we initially budgeted for it. Don't just assume that somebody hasn't just because they have posted asking for information

Speak to your vet. If anyone knows of suitable support/options in your area it will be them.
