Puppy limping

She's 7months old. Not yelping in pain when touching it but bothered by it. Probably off to the vets tomorrow but I'm at My Mums so will be visiting one....sign.

Poor pup. I assume you’ve looked closely at it and can’t see anything?

Which breed? A heavy boned pup may suffer panosteitis which will generally cycle through each leg.

She's a cockapoo was running around in the field like a loon this afternoon. Now won't weight bear. Weve had a good look. Will see what the morning brings. My son has bashed his head today so have 2 injured soldiers!!

Have you checked her dew claws?

My dog used to injure hers all the time.

I'd give it a good clean with disinfectant as sometimes they can get bits and pieces stuck in their paws. Ours had a grass seed which the vet didn't spot....££££££ later and a grass seed popped out

Our cockapoo developed a limp and wouldn’t weight bear out of nowhere at about the same age a few months ago. A day of rest and no walks sorted it out and it was like it’d never happened. We just figured that she’d maybe jumped off the sofa funny and or jumped up to get the post and jarred it a bit

It has before for my dog yes, it’s a very painful injury.
Usually blood is visible though if they have hurt it.
Unless she licked at it before you noticed?
Is she licking at it at all?
Was she whining when she came in from her walk?

I always know if my dog has injured her dew claw as she’ll come in from a walk and start whining, sometimes pacing and when you examine the dew claw you can see where she has damaged it.

If she’s not licking at it or agitated at all it’s probably not that. Just putting it out there as a possibility

Bathed in tcp and no limp today. Haven't walked her far just around the garden (country so big). Am still keeping an eye. Thank you for all the support. X

Mine started showing signs of his hip dysplasia around that age. Started by not weight-bearing. He’s a much larger breed than yours though, so hopefully not that.
