How much would you pay for these home made liver treats (photo included)

I am fundraising at the local village fair. The liver treats (thank you fellow doghouse posters - you gave me the recipe in a previous thread) are additive free and all natural ingredients of flour, liver, eggs and water.

Each bag contains 60g of treats - and if using the treats for a dog walk for instance (I treat mine for jumping into the car, for recall, for accepting the leash, for ignoring other dogs etc) I would say the bag would last for 3-4 walks.

How much would you pay for a bag? They will have proper labels on them specifying price and ingredients and storage instructions.

I don't want to under price but neither do I want to over price

I'll tell you later Hopping (keeping schtum at the moment so as not to influence responses). Ingredients were not costly, but the effort was surprisingly significant and it took a long time chopping into bite size pieces, washing out disgusting livery flood processor etc (and the smell was something else!)

I would be happy with £2 if people will pay it

To save me making them myself as it is a messy & smelly job, I'd pay £3.50 or so.

I'm also picturing lots of dogs hanging hopefully around OP's stall. My two will do anything for liver cake.

I hate to say it but unless you are licenced you can't sell dog treats. Not even for charity!

Sorry to be a pain, but you do know that you need a license for this? Bloody ridiculous, i know, but anything raw( and yes, i know its not) must not be gifted or sold.

Personally, i would go for it - raw fed dogs- but just be awarek incase you come across a jobsworth😁

I'd pay £3-4. My dog lives liver cake and I can't bear the smell so never make it.

Regarding licensing, it's something I've bought at a few fetes, so I can't imagine it'd be a problem.

With apologies, I probably wouldn't buy them at all as I avoid things with lots of grain in them (i.e. flour).

If I was going to buy them, I'd pay £2-3.

Does the same apply to bake sales when making cakes for sale at a fete? i.e. re the licence?

Can I 'give away' dog treats and request that people receiving these making a voluntary 'donation' (given that the fete is tomorrow and there is no time for licencing)?

What sort of licence would you even need?
