We did have a claim last year (abscess in one of his toes that proved to be quite treatment resistant and required surgery 2x), but he is otherwise a healthy 4 year old greyhound.

Should I shop around?

I might sell him for cat food otherwise.... Grin[joke]

I'm shocked at the cost of Petplan now, we're with Direct Line who are excellent at paying out but have gone up a lot. We were paying £76 per month for our 9 year old and it has gone up to £95 now she is 10, but as I said before we have claimed quite a bit.
I was regretting not going for Petplan which were double the price in early years but then not supposed to go up so much but Shelby you are paying more than we were for a 9 year old.

@sleep5, the trouble is once you have claimed for something it won't be covered with a new insurer so you are kind of stuck once you have claimed.
