My poor boy is attracting a lot of unwanted attention.

My labrador (neutered) has recently been irresistable to all other dogs he's come into contact with. I've been wondering if he needs a gland squeeze (I can't smell anything noticeable, which I normally can if he needs doing) but a lot of the attention is underneath rather than behind, which is new to me.

The poor thing has been licked and nuzzled in places he really doesn't want to be licked and nuzzled Blush

I'm on the verge of ringing the vet but wondered if I could get any pearls of wisdom here first before they tell me to go in anyway and charge me a small fortune for something I hope I may be able to sort out myself...

TIA

How recently? As in, could it be a UTI? That’s something other dogs sometimes notice.

Ah, that might be worth looking into, thank you. I first noticed it a few weeks ago now.

We had a male Bedlington who used to get loads of unwanted male attention. I asked the vet once why it was happening because it was spoiling walks. He said he may have a gender neutral smell or even a feminine smell, making the boys interested. Not sure really but it did seem to fit what was happening.
