Doggy days out

Hi,

We have a new puppy and was wondering if there are any good websites we can use to find out about dog friendly days out that are happening in our area?
I'm thinking county shows, group dog walks......that kind of thing?
Is there such a site? I've done a bit of googling and found a few things but not found a site that I would make my 'go to' site so far so be interested if anyone has any favourites.

Thanks.

I can't think of a national website that fulfils your exact criteria, but I do use a few local Facebook pages.

We have a few breed specific local dog walks on facebook and meetup.com

I have never found one and think it is a real gap: a definitive collection of events and places that are dog friendly.

We have a local breed Facebook page (not breed club, just someone local who started one) and we also have a good Facebook page for dog friendly pubs and cafes round central Scotland so might be something similar for your area

Dogs Today magazine used to publish listings every month, not sure if they still do.

All About Dogs have very doggy days out (one in Ipswich this weekend actually) through the year and list them all on their website and Facebook page.

Also try Living Heritage Fairs and Gamekeeper and Countryman Fairs (or is it Shows? - something like that anyway).

Our Dogs newspaper has dog show listings every week; local newspapers, also Countryman's Weekly, all depending what sort of dog you have and what sort of show.

If you go to one show you tend to find flyers for others under your windscreen wipers when you get back to your car.

Great thanks, lots to try there. Will also give Facebook a look.

A breed-specific facebook group I'm on has put this crowdsourced map together for dog friendly places to go in London www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.470284,-0.3207319,10z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!6m1!1s1OR3tZnIHI9WJSN2B6flPJhV4XBtEO2Oh?authuser=1

My local rescue also lists the events they're going to on their website, which is a good way to find out about local dog events alldogsmatter.co.uk/event/upcoming-events/

Thanks but I'm nowhere near London.
