Hi!

Our female Schnoodle is 8 months old and roughly 6kg. She seems to have a sensitive stomach, anything fishy and she has a runny stomach the next day. She can also be quite fussy with food, can eat everything given to her one day, turn her nose up the next.

Currently we feed her twice a day, she has canagan small breed chicken ( dry) and we mix in a small amount of wet food ( Hi life, Caeser, James well beloved etc).

I think she's bored and I think the issue is the canagan?

Can anyone recommend another good brand? I've used allaboutdogfood.com which is great but some reviews would be great too! Is there anywhere I could get trial packs from?

Thanks!

We have a fussy sensitive stomach dog and used to use Millieswolfheart kibble but he never was that keen on it. However, once we swopped to their wet food we have had no issues and he absolutely loves it. Unlike kibble which he turned his nose up at he does a dance and twirls around at every meal time now. We alternate the flavours (we now buy 4 different ones) every two days so he gets a lot of variation as well. He eats better than I do Grin

no idea what a Schnoodle is, but we have Millies Wolfheart here too.

our Labrador isn't tolerant to some fish either, so has their countryside mix or highland mix, but surprisingly he is ok with their salmon & veg kibble but it is quite rich so we mix in 1/3 salmon & veg with his other food.

other recipes he tried (including millies wolfheart riverside mix) with white fish, herring or trout gave him the runs too.

Great, thanks both!

A Schnoodle is a mini schnauzer / mini poodle cross

I think with my dog it was the fact that the kibble was too hard on his stomach. It also helps that dogs get excited about smells and the wet smells to him much more exciting than dry kibble no matter how good a quality it is. His favourite flavours are the Millie's wet salmon or the turkey but he also has the mixed ones (countryside and riverside). Since we swopped to wet food I can now pick up his poos with a bag rather than having to wash them away (tmi)

for a small dog you might need to also factor in kibble size. I can remember some on the Millie's Facebook page asking for a smaller kibble size for smaller breeds as they only do one size, but as crosses are very random and come in all shapes and sizes not sure if that's an issue for yours.
