Dog has wee’d in the house two days in a row

Yesterday the toddler got the blame. Today I’ve realised it really must have been the dog. She’s 7. We got her in September. No other health issues, she’s behaving normally eating and drinking and active.
So once yesterday and once today I’ve found a big puddle. 🙄
She goes overnight no trouble, 8/10 hours and usually always waits to go outside. We walk her three times a day and then she goes to the garden for wees inbetween those times.
The only thing I can think is that I was playing with her ball with her in the house both these times, which isn’t unusual, but perhaps she can’t cope with playing fetch whilst also needing a wee. Is that usual behaviour?
I’ve put all her balls outside anyway from now on that’s just an outside game.

Obviously if it continues I’ll take her to be vet for a urine test, but I’m just wondering if it’s normal for dogs to sometimes do this.

She probably has a uti.

Is she spayed? Sometimes the bitches can get incontinent as they get older if they were spayed early. Her hormones would need testing and the vet can then prescribe long term hormone replacements which stop it pretty quickly.

Typically, in these cases the dog may not be aware she did it and it doesn't normally smell as strongly as when she normally pees.

Yeah she’s spayed and she has had a few litters before coming to us.

She has been absolutely fine yesterday and today so far.

She may well have a UTI.Why not ring the vets and ask if you can take in a urine sample? If you've ever had one yourself you'll know what bloody misery they are. Don't ignore your poor girl if she's not well.

If it's out of the ordinary then I'd be getting her checked out.
