Whippet and boarding/kennels

We have a 2 yr old whippet and family have had him when we went away last year. This year they can't have him and most of the Home board types of places seem to be booked. I just can't imagine him going into a kennel even if it's heated. Think he would be petrified. What does anyone else do with their wimpy whippets when they want to go on holiday? Confused

I have a wimpy lurcher and no I wouldn't put him in kennels. We haven't booked our summer holidays yet but this has reminded me to confirm doggy care before booking flights!

Have you got any local facebook pages that you can ask for doggy home boarding recommendations? You may get people with spaces come up that way or may know of others who aren't as well advertised?

The whippet hotel??? Google them.

I have just seen the whippet hotel! If it was closer I would definitely book him in. It's right up his street! We go off camping and he has a luxury hotel!

Oh gosh I want to send mine there!

Why can’t you take him camping?

Do you have a local sighthound / whippet Facebook pages? That’s where I got a recommendation for my boy.

We use a house sitter now - it's a very reasonable price, and the dogs get to stay in the house. And for us the chickens and cats get looked after too

We go abroad camping and would be too much hassle. He does come in the uk sometimes but to he truthful he really does like his home comforts! How much do you pay a house sitter? We are paying £25 a night for boarding
