Bloody dog!

Why is my bloody dog whinnying and barking at me, it's doing my bloody head in. She's been fed, watered, walked, played with, cuddled, isn't in pain as her bloody tail is constantly thumping on something. She's just turned 5 and had her jabs and an MOT last week and everything was fine. Any thoughts?

Either she wants a wee or there’s something wrong with you. My dog sits and stares at me if he needs letting out, or he sits and stares at me with a worried expression if I’m not very well. He does it every time.

rightsaidfrederickII · 29/12/2017 09:02

She may have had playtime, but in her mind there's nothing wrong with more playtime!

In all honesty, walk her to the point of exhaustion and she'll be grateful to go to sleep - I find more exercise is the answer to 90% of PestDog's undesirable habits.

Tara336 · 30/12/2017 09:58

One of mine sits and stares at me and makes weird growl/ whimper noises when he wants something it’s usually that he wants to go to the loo

KinkyAfro · 30/12/2017 16:40

She scratches the door when she wants out so it's not that. She's now staring at me and almost neighing with a thumping tail so it's not a distress thing. This is what I have to deal with

She luffs you.
Or she's sorry!
Grin

MsHomeSlice · 30/12/2017 16:46

are you upsetting her routine? does she normally have the sofa to herself of an afternoon?

KinkyAfro · 30/12/2017 16:58

She's got the sofa, I'm on the other one. She's gone to sleep now so a bit of peace until she starts again

You're not pregnant are you?

Cocobananas · 30/12/2017 17:32

Did she get turkey and extra treats over Xmas and Boxing Day, if so she is a lab and perhaps bugging you for MORE, MORE, MORE😁

mustbemad17 · 30/12/2017 17:34

Haha in our house the tail thumping is a clear 'oi, pay attention to me & me only' and it gets harder if you get caught glancing at the offending pooch 😂

Fluffypie1 · 30/12/2017 17:39

When my lab had her shots she wasn't herself for about a week maybe that.?

SkeletonSkins · 30/12/2017 17:40

Have you go something in your pocket?

KinkyAfro · 30/12/2017 17:51

Not pregnant, she's had minimal treats as she's on a diet plan...She's been on that a year though so nothing new there. I think maybe she's just an attention seeking pain in the arse

OP posts:
KinkyAfro · 30/12/2017 17:53

Nothing in pocket. She's just woken up and has climbed on me so I'm stuck now....I need a wee!

Bloomed · 30/12/2017 17:53

Is she apologising for a misdemeanour you haven't discovered yet?

Cocobananas · 30/12/2017 18:05

Is she trying to tell you that nobody diets at Christmas...no fair! Sympathise though, we had a lab who put on weight just dreaming about food.

KinkyAfro · 30/12/2017 18:46

Could be Bloomed I'll probably find something chewed at some point

OP posts:
KinkyAfro · 30/12/2017 18:48

She put on a lot weight following a cruciate repair, she's since had a failed one so exercising is tricky until she goes back to specialist for a further op. She went right up to 42kg and we've got her back down to 33kg, aiming for 30kg

Cocobananas · 30/12/2017 19:32

Ooh sorry Kinky, didn’t know was because of op. Cocodogs best buddy is a choc lab who is currently on strict rest due to knee op.

KinkyAfro · 30/12/2017 19:42

It ok coco she had the first op in 2012 with no issues but had the other one done in June this year which failed. Somehow she broke the plate and pins but she's doing ok, trying to charge around like a loon most days but we have to curtail it

BattleCuntGalactica · 30/12/2017 20:15

Hahahaha

Sounds like normal behaviour to me. Talk to her. My doggo does this, he will make daft noises at me, and huff and puff and then we have stupid conversations for a while.

That face is bootiful!
