Boots for muddy dog walks

My Joules wellibobs have failed me in the mud today, the council where I live have been thinning trees in the woods recently and their heavy machinery has really chewed up the paths. Can anyone recommend some comfortable waterproof boots that will fit my rather chunky calf's please?

I covet a pair of Dubarry’s. I’ve got an old leather pair of wellies that I buggered the zip on which I need to fix, my Timberlands and my rubber wellies. I really don’t need to spend £300+ on a pair of pretentious wellies.

Can you drive in Muck boots? I like my Dublin Riverboots as they are good to walk and drive in, but they do leak now (had them a couple of years).

I've just replaced my aigle paracours they lasted 5 years of daily use (even in summer!) calf on new ones with neoprene lining is massive!

I can’t drive in my muck boots. Find the soles too thick. Nice and easy to just slip on once parked though, I just have and ankle ones.

Thanks mol.

I drove in my new muck boots today and they didnt feel great. I think it might be okay occassionally but I'll keep them in the car now. But they were fantastic to walk in.

Muck boots are definitely the way to go. Easy on and off, good grip, warm and comfortable. I don’t find them hard to drive in.

The drive was ok but I definitely felt a bit clumsy driving.
