Fish oil for dogs itchy skin?

Any recommendations? I can't give him a capsule everyday as he wouldn't eat it. Does it have to be special oil for dogs or is that just a marketing ploy?
Thanks x

You could try Viridian pure beauty oil.
I used this for my cat when she developed a nasty itchy skin allergy and foods intolerances were ruled out.
I put a spoon of this on a tiny bit of tuna every day and she walloped it off. Skin cleared up.

You can use it yourself on your skin and also add to smoothies, cereal etc.

I used Piriton used for human hay fever or Allergies.....used to give my golden retriever Half a tablet a day and itchy skin cleared up....spoke to my vet first as a friend of mine suggested it my vet said yes it's okay although it's for humans....spoke to my village pharmacist and he said lots of people use it or thier dogs and works

My old dig had terrible skin problems. We were regularly at the vets having a steroid injection, giving Malaseb baths, would clear up for about a month then would start again.
I started feeding her a can of oily fish 3 times a week plus piriton tablets which helped a bit.
But a friend advised Manuka honey, the stronger the better. A tbl spoon twice a day in her food worked wonders in less than a week.

Our smallest dog is allergic to grass, amongst other things. She's very itchy. We feed Yumega itchy dog oil and one piriton daily (vet's suggestions, she's a large terrier size). We also only feed grain free food (James Wellbeloved in our case) and our vet says only fish or turkey flavours. It seems to help.
