Started feeding my two goldies this last week, although I have been feeding raw complete for nearly a year.
feeding working dog Turkey and have noticed that their poo is very white and crumbly, indicating too much bone.
I contacted NI this morning, they assured me that the bone content was not more than 10% and advised that I added more carrot. My dogs cannot have tripe as one is allergic to both lamb and beef.
Has anyone else experienced this on NI? Also not sure if adding carrot is the best thing.
As I always jump into these things feet first, I have 42kg of this in my freezer so need to find a safe way to use it.

No help I'm afraid sorry. I was going to suggest you try one of the raw feeding Facebook pages - raw feeding rebels or raw feeding uk - they are generally very helpful.

If the poo is white and crumbly then the bone content is too high.
One way of bringing it down isn't adding more of the other ingredients.
You could buy some mince for dogs that are bone free, add some of that plus some fruit and veg.
You could part cooked veg and liquidate it with some water and then add to the meal.

Thanks for the replies. I am mildly obsessed with my dogs diet!
youngest dog has atopic dermatitis and we have had him tested for environmental allergies but not food, although I know he reacts badly to certain proteins ( chicken, lamb, beef, duck)
That said their poo was completely normal yesterday.. but I did add some more sweet potato this morning.

Not all Natural Instinct 'completes' contain offal so just something to watch out for - if it doesn't have any, you could add some liver, kidney, brain etc and reduce the amount of mince to make the meal less bone overall.

If you're adding vegetables then make sure they're lightly steamed as dogs can't absorb nutrients from raw veg (or so the raw feeding facebook pages keep telling me!).
