Give a Eurasier a home? (please!)

I know that there are innumerable dogs needing new homes, but my heart really went out to this sad little trio. They are currently at Many Tears rescue, and may, I fear, struggle a bit to get new homes.

Eurasiers are usually quite reserved dogs (it is a breed trait) so there won't be much immediate "pat me, stroke me, I love you!" interaction with prospective owners. This coupled with their ages, and their rather poor condition may put people off. I heard about them through the Eurasier Society - I already have a eurasier, and would happily have another, but I just can't give them the time they would need.

My dog is just gorgeous, - very easy to train, and perfect with my children. She is very alert, but not at all fearful of new things - if something startles her, she checks it out, - if it's nothing to worry about she doesn't react again. She is now quite blase about everything from fireworks to target shooting. She has never chewed a thing in the house that she wasn't given - and we had her from a puppy. She has perfect recall, and was the easiest dog I have ever whistle-trained. She is stand-offish rather than worried by strangers, which is typical of the breed. When someone is coming towards us, she is very eager to go up and inspect them, but she will move away if they reach straight out to pat her - they have to be sniffed first. Similarly, visitors to our house have to be checked over quietly, and after a few minutes she will go move right up, sit on their feet, and lick their hands (whether they want it or not!). I do have to groom her a fair bit, which is a downside, but it's not difficult, and they have the saving grace off being very low odour dogs when wet!

I appreciate that these 3 poor dogs will be very different as they were raised as breeding machines, but I wanted to give an idea of what eurasiers can be like, given care and love. There are more coming into rescue now, as they have rapidly increased in popularity, and puppy-farmers are never slow to catch a trend. I've been told that it's due to their scaled-down wolfish/husky appearance (thank you, Game of Thrones Angry)

If anyone could help give these dogs a much-needed home, please contact www.manytearsrescue.org/

Thank you xx

There are so many beautiful dogs on many tears. If only I had the room.
Animal breeding needs to be regulated. Its so cruel. So many dogs on the site seem to be ex breeders.
