It all worked out

No reason why anyone should be interested in this but ...

Earlier in the year I had a big problem with a new puppy and looking after a friend's dog whilst she was on holiday (the dog is aggressive towards cats and I have 2 of them). Well it all went fine, the cats moved next door to my lovely NDNs who cared for them for the week. Friend knows I can't look after her dog again due to the cats but I didn't let her down at short notice.

The main thing is though that the puppy is fabulous - settled right in with my other 2 dogs and the cats. My girl (DDog not DD) totally mothers him and seems in her element to have a baby to look after.

His house-training is taking longer than with the other 2 but I think that might be b/c he's so small that he can't last through the night. However it's not a huge problem to clear up a few puppy wees and still a few months where I can leave the back door open for them during the day.

His recall is pretty good and he loves running free with the other 2 on our walks.

So from having a huge worry about timings it's all worked out really well.

Like I say there's no reason anyone else should be interested in this other than it's nice to have a good news story once in a while!

I think I recall the original post - really glad it all worked out.

They say worrying is like a rocking horse, uses up a lot of energy and gets you nowhere and as like now, is often completely unfounded!

Well done you.
