My frenchie has become violently territorial over the shared basket , two other dogs share a massive bed with him and since I got him 3 years ago as a puppy , it's worked perfectly . Recently he's picking fights with my lab cross , but only over shared sleeping . Outside the basket he's fine , he's always peed in the bed too , took this as territorial and have been trying to break him of it for years . I've put a second bed next to main bed , he's just peed on it ... The fightings not bad enough to split them up or remove permanently , I just don't know what to do ... And yes , he's emptied regularly . Blush

If you have 3 dogs, you should have 3 baskets in 3 different "corners".
I think he is stressed for luck of own space and probably a bit insecure, hence the urinating. I'd do some sessions with a behaviourist to find ways to give him more confidence.
Is he neutered? Are your other dogs boys or girls?

How old are the other dogs? And yes. Separate beds. Not right next to each other. Give each their safe space.

Aggression like this often comes about after a period of having to compete for resources. A lot of the competition won't include obvious signs of aggression, but the tension will have been building. The way to prevent is is to remove the need to compete for resources like beds feeding stations, toys etc by ensuring you always offer at least one each (of equal quality. )

You need to provide more beds for your dogs,

He used to have his own crate, open .. but they all seemed happier piled in together and it never got used so I removed it , he's castrated but the other two ( bitches ) are not spayed , one I rescued already elderly and she's only had one season in the 7 years I've had her , and the other one doesn't season regularly either . There's another dog , uncastrated who lives in another part of the house with his owner , my housemate , they're all exercised together and that works fine too . What you've said re sleeping arrangements makes sense , so I'll get more beds . Thank you .
