We are pretty sure our pooch is nearing the end. Won't go into too much detail but he has pretty poor bladder control of late that is only making us, and him, miserable.

We rescued him at 5 and have had him for a very happy, hairy, nearly 11 years.

The most devastating thing for us, apart from having 2 young DDs who adore him, is that helping him at the end is so expensive. I had him booked in to see the vet on Saturday to discuss, but have had to cancel as we just don't have the funds right now Sad

Do vets offer payment plans or pay later type things? We've never had to use the vet apart from jabs so have no clue how the payments would work. I feel awful asking but after my mini meltdown at/with him this morning I need to act. It's not fair anymore.

Thanks if you got to the end... I'm crying again Blush

We have had the vets come out twice now for this. The most recent time, a few weeks ago, cost about £270 I think. We got a very sensitive call a week after followed by an invoice. I'm sure they will offer some sort of payment plan if you ask. They're vets, they don't want to see your animal suffer any more than you do. I'm so sorry you're facing this. I'll be thinking of you Flowers

That's what they said. I've called them back to explain and am now awaiting a call after they've spoken to the accounts lady as the big boss is away.
