Advice needed please for puppy food, large breed very fussy dog.

I have been trying to research puppy food for my new lab puppy.

She is however a very fussy eater and would rather not eat at all than eat something she doesn't like.

She flatly refuses ALL dry food. She will tolerate some wet food.

So, I am looking at some semi moist food for her. We have been strongly advised to get a large breed puppy food for her as she is having some problems with her hips which is being investigated.

So I understand that I need lowish protein?

I am so so lost with it. I really don't want to feed her crap food, but at the same time she has to eat. I can supplement cheaper food with some Yumove that I have been giving her.

Anyone is a similar situation please?

Thanks

I have a fusspot too Putting her food into Kongs really works. I've also started cooking food for her with beef mince, veg, a little bit of rice and ground up egg shell for the calcium. I mix it with her kibble and she tends to eat the whole lot. It's a little more time consuming but I just do a massive batch every couple of weeks and then divide it up, freeze it and take a bag out to defrost every couple of days.

We did ask what she was fed on, and we did feed it to her, but she refused that too. She was in Beta and pedigree chum. We tried the tins of PC which she wouldn't eat, then we tried the pouches which she would eat.

We think we are now sorted, I went out and bought 3 more dry foods including pro plan, grain free James W and Wainwrights.

I put them all on plastic plates and offered them to her at the same time. Turned her nose up at JW. Ate the Wainwrights and then the Proplan.

Hoping to keep her on the pro plan as it's large breed specific.

Will ask the vet to look in her mouth.
