We adopted Misty yesterday. The kennel think she's about 3 (her teeth are still very pointy though) and they said lurcher/terrier cross.

I just wanted to gauge opinions as DP is convinced she's got Irish wolfhound in her and DS is harbouring dreams of riding her Grin

She's lovely. Bit hyper and clingy but seems to be settling in well.

Wow she looks very like an Irish wolfhound OP. Maybe she's a cross between an Irish wolfhound and a greyhound? In which case she is going to be bloody enormous.

She's biting now. No reason I can discerne. Just grabbing me and DD by the ankles and me by the hands. Pics attached. Really don't know what to do.

Janey, surely if she's 3, she'd be fully grown?

Janey50 · 11/03/2017 19:14

Duh! Yes of course she would be fully grown at 3 years old! Think I had a brain fart.

OP we've had our rescue about 5 weeks now and the first couple of weeks she threw some mad wobblers to the point where I was crying, just couldn't control her at all and was actually quite scared of her on a few occasions. Things have calmed down massively now and we're finding her really receptive to training. Hopefully yours will too, wishing you the best of luck x

It's not always easy with a rescue at first. Is she having a quiet area to go too? She sounds stressed?
