They are 14 weeks old, greyhounds, from Ireland. Just staying with me for a few days until there's space with a regular fosterer. Absolutely gorgeous!

Oh for goodness sake much cuteness Grin those ears

PacificDogwod · 16/12/2016 11:19

Oh my, they are gorgeous!
I am sure they will get snapped up really quickly.

But 11 dogs in the rescue in one day? That is so sad and some people can be such inconsiderate dicks Sad

CMOTDibbler · 16/12/2016 11:28

I know Pacific - 6 puppies, 5 adults Sad. And this is why dogs need to be neutered and you think before buying that cute puppy

Oh dear. I will definitely be in touch with the rescue in the new year, once our baby is born and we are a bit settled. Poor dogs. :(

Gorgeous. How lovely to foster, but also heartbreaking I'm sure.

CMOTDibbler · 29/12/2016 19:04

Both of them have gone to their forever homes now, and are settling in beautifully. It was lovely to hand them over to people who were so excited to be getting them. Who knows what our next foster pups will be like!

Aw, your house will be so quiet! Grin
I am sure they will be a lovely addition to their new home.

Do you foster regularly?

CMOTDibbler · 30/12/2016 20:06

They have gone to perfect homes for their different personalities.

This was our first time fostering - we'd said on the Thursday that we'd be happy to foster puppies (as they don't stay long so we can plan round commitments, plus the cat/child thing), and got a call on the Saturday morning! We'll be doing it again, but of course you don't know when.

Very satisfying to do - I rather enjoy puppy training, and you really see the difference day by day with them

We fostered an adult greyhound before we then adopted DHound. We only had our foster dog for 6 weeks or so and he went to a home with a cat Grin

Hm, may do it again in the spring if I can get DH on board...

CMOTDibbler · 30/12/2016 21:19

I remember that Smile Strangely, it was DH that volunteered us!

Aw CMOT, well done, it's a good feeling :)
I love having puppies in the house as well, and ddog3 adores playing with them. My last two went away in November but the house has been so quiet at times I am still half looking for them. They got really lovely homes though and have settled brilliantly - I am very proud of them. Hope you get another puppy fix soon!

bluetongue · 31/12/2016 09:29

Great that they found perfect homes for them to go to. If they weren't on the other side of the world to me I would have been tempted to take one myself Grin

Did you get any strange comments about the fostering OP? I had so many people say to me when I had foster hound 'you're keeping him of course' or 'I don't know how you can just give him away.' I don't have a heart of stone, just wasn't in the right position to commit long term to a dog. You'd think I was going to dump him at a shelter or drop him off a bridge the way some people reacted!

RachelRagged · 31/12/2016 09:35

Do you mind me asking where the rescue is OP ?

Always at this time of year people do not learn and buy puppies :(

CMOTDibbler · 31/12/2016 17:18

People did keep asking if we wanted to keep one, but as we already have two its fairly easy to understand!

Rachel, its Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue - the dogs are all in foster in different places, and they can homecheck anywhere, though we are local
