I think she is an addict. She seems ok in herself and I have not yet taken her to the vet. Will they pass through or should she go to the vets? The pills are in humanly inpenetrable casing and out of the way (I thought). Bloody bloody dog.

Clever?
If lots of people tell me my pet might die and I should talk to a vet then I might make the leap that talking to a vet might be a good idea.
Hmm

i have to agree that OP really doesn't sound particularly relieved! No emotional 'phew' expressed here. sounds all a bit jokey about having to lock in vault. this is a dpup! they die quickly and easily! where's the panic?

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 22/01/2016 00:02

She has spoken to the vet. Confused

Shriek · 22/01/2016 00:35

yes eventually. you wouldn't phone your vet immediately for swallowing any kind of tablet/medicine? What vet would say 'they would go through'? they will kill a dpup Sad only a few mg's depending on size of dpup.

i don't understand? As this isn't being particularly 'clever'. oh well, dpup has survived thank goodness.

it could have been dead by the morning

The little dog is fine now. Her eating habits leave much to be desired. She lives in a house; not an empty cell and I am brutally aware of what goes into her!

glad to hear it.

I hope next time your pup had an accident you react more appropriately.

Shriek · 27/01/2016 12:57

Relieved to hear that ddog is now fine. If this was a toddler you'd pick up beads from the floor to avoid them being swallowed, and tablets well out off reach? As your ddog is apt to pick up everything, everything needs to be out of reach, just like having a dpup.

Although i do know dGP's who leave very dangerous medicines out around all their dGC when they stay over, include the very young ones, so it happens.

EasyToEatTiger · 27/01/2016 15:45

To keep things out of the way of ddog, everything needs to be glued to the cieling. Thank you again all of you with useful advice. I took it and all is fine. I may have to think about using a basket muzzle on her if she carries on eating everything.
