going bonkers again at 14 months.....

Our goldie was starting to calm down once she hit 12 months, was brilliant at recall, had stopped jumping up etc but in the last couple of weeks she's started ignoring me again when on walks, jumping up at people (not great when it's so muddy!), trashing her bed and generally reverting to how she was when she was 7 months or so. I have upped her exercise because I thought she needed more so she's getting 1.5 hours (off lead in the woods) in the morning and another walk in the afternoon - probably 30 mins or so.....why is she being so bonkers - is it just a phase?!

Yep. It's a phase. She'll have several more this year, in all likelihood, but they get shorter and further between!

Long walks are a good plan. Otherwise just be consistent with the rules you have established and it will come good.

Thank you for the reassurance; just when you think you've got things sorted, they challenge you again. She's lucky I think she's gorgeous!

When our beagle was going through adolescence he would push me to the point I was ready to rehome him, and then somehow the next day it would be big brown eyes and perfect obedience. They know what they are doing!

My lab is 3 years old, still thinks like a puppy sometimes but as panic mode says the intervals get longer. I have been told that 5 or 6 years old is when they grow up - sorry not to be more helpful!
