Any one used 'borrow my doggy'?

Just as my title says really. Does anyone have any comments about it?

My boy is well trained yet challenging. If he doesn't think he has to obey he will pull with all his might on the lead and generally take the piss.

For me, OH and dog walker he's as good as gold.

I'd probably need someone with experience.

I'm so untrusting. Would anyone recommend it?

If you are looking to borrow a dog can I suggest The Cinnamon Trust. They are a charity who help elderly and ill people.
I volunteer and walk a lovely doc locally. Costs nothing but I get a real sense of enjoyment from our walks and knowing I'm helping the owner of her dog keep her beloved pet.

I signed up for it, but everyone on there seems to want to borrow a dog for weekend afternoons, which is when I want to be with DDog

We had a few dog dates, but it was just weird. Like strange first dates, but only dogs to talk about! There wasn't anyone I met that I would feel 100% comfortable handing a set of my house keys over to, even though the site has more checks in place than I used to recruit my cleaner.

That said, a friend of mine uses it to borrow dogs, and has made some good doggy pals, who she has over for weekends while the owners go away or go out.

I have just joined, as an owner. What I don't like about it already is that (if I've understood correctly) it's me who has to initiate contact with the potential borrowers. It might have been nice if they also had the option to contact me, based on the type of dog I have, our availability etc. I know they've joined for a reason and presumably won't mind being contacted, but I don't like feeling like I might be hassling anyone (not used to asking for help, y'see)!

I'm a borrower on the site and you definitely can contact owners if you think their dogs might be a suitable match, I've done it in the past.

Oh, that's great treaclesoda. Thanks for clarifying. Will let you all know how it goes!

dieu the borrowers can contact you. That's how I came to borrow a dog from they site. No owners have ever contacted me, it's always been the other way around

Perfect, thank you! I can see that I've got the wrong end of the stick completely. Much prefer it this way as I'd hate to think I was forcing him on anyone!
