Fleas, bloody fleas

Ddog has a flea infestation. It was treated with spot on (including advocate), flea baths, vacuuming and spraying house, washing bedding etc.

Despite all this they are still there! They are also huge feckers. Up to around 5mm long and don't really move much. It is vile.

Dog has been given another flea bath and spot on, and I sprayed her bedding while I'm thinking of the next step.

Any words of wisdom? I thought advocate was meant to work??

We got it online from Amazon. It was much cheaper.

The vet tried to charge over £120 for a consultation and advocate today. I nearly wept

It's £11 on Amazon. Just to confirm that your vet is expensive.

eye watering for the advocate. Look online. If you get a script from your vet you can order it online.

Thank you collaborate I did do that. They didn't offer it funily enough Hmm

Still had to pay over £50 for the privilege, plus online cost, and have to wait, which isn't ideal for poor ddog.

I have a cat who is a flea magnet (I suspect he avails himself of one of the little old ladies in the village and picks them up from there) so we often have the occasional extra resident Hmm

The best way to keep them down I have found is Seresto collars on the three dogs and obsessive four weekly application of Advocate(?) for DCat. I occasionally RIP the downstairs if I'm feeling virtuous, no dogs allowed upstairs and I wash their bed covers regularly.

Mind you my house is a cold, stone walled, wooden floored affair so we're probably not the most gracious hosts :o
