I've had my pups on Burns so far and it's ok, but are beginning to seem hungrier than I'd expect really. I know they are growing and all but it's really expensive and not doing what I want it too.

I'm looking on allaboutdogfoods and have no idea what I need. Harringtons for example has a higher protein content but lower ratings. Can you clever people give me an idea what I need and don't need please?

(I can't afford the likes of Millie's but want to spend more than the Wagg kinda level until they are fully grown.)

My dog is on raw. I started with Nutriment, which is a complete food. Now, I've started to do more DIY. Lots of advice on Facebook on raw feeding groups. Basically meat 80%' bones 10% offal 10%. If you want to add blitzed veg, do it as an extra, but not necessary. Plenty of raw meat for dogs suppliers, just google. If you stay on kibble, try to avoid ones with grains, lots of fillers, and chicken'meal'. High meat content like Origen, Canagan are good. I would not go on a vets advice though, as most vets surgeries make a big percentage of their profit from kibble sales, and their nutrition training is negligible. Mine urged me to move my dog from raw to a large breed puppy food but was unable to tell me what was in it that he needed that was not in raw. As far as I was concerned, I would not feed my kids processed food, so could not keep my dog on a diet of biscuits either. I'm a vegey too, so was not an easy thing to do!
