my lovely boxer has got a lump on his hock. he has had it many years and its been tested. it is just fat but it is massive. its the size of 2 boiled eggs. the vet advised that while it does not bother him its best not to operate but it has grown and the skin is very thin so we have now decided to have it removed.
i am worried about how he will cope with the op. he hates the vets and sits shaking in the waiting room. would i be mad to leave him with my OH t shirt so he has the smell of home with him? i also assume he will have a head cone which i am dreading. he is a very typical clumsy boxer and i dread to think how he wil cope with a cone. i am also wondering what to expect with after care regarding food and walks.
