I really would love an English bull terrier and have been looking at puppies. I haven't had a dog for a while, since my old mutt passed away, and am a bit worried it would be "too much dog" for me. They are so funny though, the kids are older now, and Im working from home. I would appreciate any words of wisdom.

Dh's mum breeds them, she currently has 3 of them, they're brilliant with our dd and our dogs and he ndn cat. Watch a video of them Trancing is very funny. She raw feeds her as they have allergies, she makes sure they're insured due to health problems. They're a misunderstood breed Smile

I have had to re home an English bull terrior puppy at 6.5 months. He is a lovely dog, but very boisterous and energetic. When he was introduced to our small yappy dog he kept away, but as he grew older he became more persistent with wanting to play (because he was a puppy). It became too much for the other dog who was getting very stressed.
You really do need to understand the breed and the temperment. If it had only been me in the house he would have stayed.

Thank you for the advice. Looking at the sudden rage syndrome, and at how strong they are, I think a bull terrier would walk all over me. Im going to look for another mutt I think.
