Puppy won't eat

Hi all,
Got our puppy Saturday, everything going fine except she won't eat! Is this normal? Assuming its cos of unfamiar surroundings. Am feeding her same as she was being fed previously. Gets excited when I say it's food time but then turns her nose up at it when she actually sniffs it. Wondering whether I should continue with the same food or try a different one. Don't want to upset her belly though.
She is getting tiny amounts down as she is pooing but that is through me having to really encourage her. If I leave her, she won't touch it. What shall I do??

have you tried soaking the food in a little bit of warm water first ? we were told to do this with our new puppy. it just makes the food a bit softer and easier to digest i think.

What food is the puppy on?

Ours came having been fed Pedigree Chum (!) and he just wouldn't eat it. We broke all the rules about gradually changing food and put him straight on burns and he wolfed it down. We figured nothing could be as bad as PC so we took the risk and he was fine.

How long are you putting the food down for?

Our puppy took a while to adapt and didn't eat brilliantly to start out with. Vet told us to persevere and he ate better after a while. Part of our issue was that he'd been fed mixed raw and kibble though, and we stopped giving him the raw food, so I think he was hoping for better!

You can also hand feed a lot of the kibble as a training aid, which is how he ate most of his for the first few weeks.

I remember having the same problem, in my case what I was doing differently from the previous owner was keeping the tinned mixer in the fridge. Once I gave it at room temperature she was fine (though still not wolfing it down, that took longer, I suppose for her to settle and being doing enough exercise to get hungry).
