My dog hates her buster collar thing after being spayed

She is jumping around like mad and because she is a bully she keeps landing on her back.

I personally don't think she needs it as I am with her all the time and she can't easily get to her stitches due to her build. My husband is determined she should wear it because the vet said they are recommended.

Will it take long for her to get used to it do to think? she is really stressed over it and I just want to take it off!

If you're there directly supervising her it's fine to take off. :) Pop it back on if you're going to take your eyes off her for a second - and that means overnight as well I'm afraid.

Take it off her and keep a close eye on her, neither of mine liked them, I took it off and just kept an eye on them and reminding them not to lick. You can get better collars from pets at home ( I think ).

Mine didn't have one, didnt need one as she didn't lick. Watch her closely though if you take it off because a lot of dogs will.

We got an all in one bodysuit like a baby vest with poppers from our vet, it was an extra ten pounds, but worth every penny. Our dog wore it all the time, we us popped the back end and hooked it over her shoulders for toilet time and she could move freely without being able to scratch or chew her stitches. We've kept it as a coat for if she gets any other injuries at all.

She is asleep on my lap now! really not comfy for me to have a bulldog on my lap with a lamp shade and I don't dare move now she is settled!

My puppy has a child's t-shirt on tied up to keep it over his scar.
We took his collar of shame off for a walk then couldn't get it back on him.

My ddog never had his on took it off after he got back from the vets and it never went back on not even over night as he didn't even try to lick his stitches.
My sisters dog had to keep his on as he could not be trusted the minute it was off he would lick. So it depends on the dog, try without when you are supervising.

We never use them but have successfully used a comfy collar. It's a bit like a travel pillow and does the same job as awful buster collars.

We put ours in a tshirt. Pulled the spare fabric up into a hair bobble on her back. Worked a treat. She'd have freaked out in a collar.
