Seasons in an older female dog

We have a 10.5yo Staffie. She is unspayed and never had a litter. Usually, her season comes every 5-6m and last 3w. The last few days show a sticky discharge that annoys her but is gone after thr last 5 days.

This month's season is different, in that instead of the sticky discharge, she is getting a thick brownish-yellow discharge that has a snotty consistency (sorry if tmi). It's soaking her pad and I'm changing it about 3x a day.

Otherwise she's healthy: eating well, etc.

Is this normal in an older female dog?

Aww, thanks Molotov. He'll be alright if I can get him to take the bloody medication. Little sod spits it out.

How's your girl today?

She's slowly coming around today, thank-you VonLipwig. I needed to hand-feed her this morning and give her some water from a plastic syringe. She needed her painkillers as the grunting sound was increasing.

She perked up at the smell of some scrambled eggs Smile and took some brave tentative steps (the first away from her bed) into the kitchen at lunchtime. Since then she's had a wee, and a poo! Hooray! She's quiet, but ever-loyal, noble and brave ... and breaking wind like a stinker!

I am due to give to her Drontal worming tablets during the first week of December: should I wait until she's finished all medication (after Thursday)? When would be best? I can't leave it too long as we live in an area where we're frequented by cats, foxes and mice.

A few days shouldn't make much difference but check with the vet if you're worried. Glad she's on the mend. Flowers
