Puppy crying when we're out. What can i do to make her better?

As the title says really. Puppy is 10 weeks old we've had her a week. She is fine if we're at home and even at night not a peep unless she needs to go out.
But she won't stop crying if alone at home. We went shopping two days ago and my neighbour said she didn't stop the whole time. Luckily they are very understanding and don't mind too much.
I don't go out a lot except for the school run morning and afternoon and shopping and playgroup, though I don't plan on going to playgroup for a couple of weeks till she's settled.
I'm out for the school run for about 30-40 mins.
Is there anything I can do to get her to stop? Will she just get used to being alone and stop?
As understanding as the neighbours are I don't want to push it.

We leave the radio on Classic FM. We decided on that particular station as we decided it was more calming than Radio 1. Probably kidding ourselves!

There's a few things I've tried in the past...firstly leave something tasty like chews or stuffed kongs to keep her busy and distracted. She will then associate you leaving the house with good things. You could also try the adaptil plug in diffusers, they can work very well. Build up the time she is left alone very slowly so she can adjust to it and make sure she has plenty of things to chew. Also a walk or good play in the garden before you go out may help as more tired and may settle well with a kong filled with tasty things (I often use some wet and dry food in mine but there is loads you can put in them!

Good luck!

We built up the time we left our pup on his own very slowly so he gradually got used to the idea. So first of all we'd be out of the room for a couple of minutes, then 5, then 10 then we'd go out of the house for a bit then come back.

He had an adaptil collar for the first two months - he was a very calm puppy so don't know if that helped or if he was just naturally chilled! We also left him with a stuffed kong - if you freeze them they last longer - and left radio 4 on as we worked on the assumption that speech would be more comforting than music.

We also didn't make a big deal of leaving and coming back and we don't have an absolutely rigid routine - he gets at least two walks a day and regular meals but it's not always at the same time of day
